1. Acceptance of Terms
By inviting the Bot to your Discord server or using its commands (e.g., !join, !listen, !translate), you and your server users agree to these terms. If you do not agree with any part of the terms, do not use the Bot.
2. Service Description
The Bot provides real-time voice-to-voice translation services. Features include:
- Recording audio in voice channels.
- Speech-to-Text transcription.
- Translating text to the target language.
- Text-to-Speech generation.
3. Privacy Policy and Data Processing (Important!)
Your privacy is important to us. Here is how we handle your data:
A. Data Collection
To function, the Bot must record audio in the voice channel when listen commands are activated.
- Data we process: Audio recordings of voice chats, Discord User ID (for speaker identification), Discord Server ID.
- Temporary Nature: Audio recordings are stored on the server only as long as necessary for processing (usually a few seconds). After transcription is complete, the audio file is permanently deleted from our system. We do not keep archives of your conversations.
B. Third-Party Services
The Bot uses external services for data processing. Your audio or text is sent to the following services:
- Deepgram: For speech transcription. Deepgram Privacy Policy
- Google Translate: For text translation. Google Privacy Policy
- Google TTS (gTTS): For speech generation.
By using the Bot, you consent to your data (audio clips and text) being processed via these services for the purpose of providing the translation service.
4. Consent for Recording
- Automatic Mode (
!listen): When this mode is active, the Bot constantly listens and processes audio in intervals (e.g., every 6 seconds). - Notification: The server owner or the person starting the Bot is obligated to inform other participants in the voice channel that the conversation is being recorded and translated for the Bot's functionality.
- Withdrawing Consent: If you do not wish to be recorded, you must leave the voice channel where the Bot is located or request the Bot to stop using the command
!stop.
5. Disclaimer
- Translation Accuracy: Translations are generated automatically via Artificial Intelligence (AI). We do not guarantee that translations will be 100% accurate, precise, or appropriate. The Bot may make mistakes or "hallucinate" text due to background noise.
- Use at Your Own Risk: Do not use the Bot for critical situations (medical advice, legal matters, emergency services).
- Availability: We do not guarantee that the Bot will be available 24/7 (uptime). We reserve the right to interrupt the service at any time for maintenance.
6. Code of Conduct
It is forbidden to use the Bot for:
- Recording users without their knowledge or consent (in violation of your country's laws).
- Generating hate speech, threats, or other illegal content via the TTS function.
- Intentionally disrupting the Bot's operation (command spamming).
